A Family Adventure - Kayaking (Ages 11 & Up)
Enjoy a fun Parent & Me kayaking adventure at beautiful Alamitos Bay! Explore calm, beginner-friendly waters with little boat traffic while taking in Southern California's scenic coastline. After kayaking, spend the rest of the day enjoying lunch and relaxing at nearby Mother's Beach. Lunch provided.
Requirements: Children ages 11–17 must ride with a participating adult.
All participants must know how to swim—NO EXCEPTIONS.
Swimming Requirements
- Non-Swimmers may not participate – No Exceptions!
- Wearing a lifejacket does not replace a swimming requirement.
- We may ask for testimony regarding a minor’s swimming ability. For small children, a video clip of that minor swimming may be requested.
- We are required to turn away any participant when in doubt of their swimming ability.
- Safe ratios of adults to children are always a consideration.
- Our Staff and Instructors are NOT required to be currently Certified Lifeguards.
- Not every participant can safely paddle board. We ask paddlers to be of sufficient height, weight, and strength to control the large boards in existing wind conditions.
- We are required to turn away any participant when in doubt of any safety issues.
- A video clip may be requested to verify minors' swimming ability
