A Family Adventure: Catalina Island - Under the Sea Sub Tour
Come face-to-face with Catalina’s abundant marine life aboard a semi-submersible submarine as you cruise five feet below the surface in a spacious, climate-controlled cabin. You’ll see an incredible array of undersea creatures, which include bright orange garibaldi, spotted calico bass, urchins, rockfish, and bat rays. Following the tour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the scenic island. It’s a real adventure!

The Rio Hondo Nature Program is for Pico Rivera residents only and is aimed at the youth and their families.

Registered participants who do not attend will not be eligible for future trips for the Rio Hondo Nature Program and will be charged a no-show fee of $20.

  • Ages: 5-17 (Adults must attend with a child aged 5-17) This is a Family Excursion.
  • Guided Excursions - Undersea Expedition & Tour of Avalon- Must stay with group.
  • Departure/Arrival Location: Pico Park, 9528 Beverly Blvd., Pico Rivera, CA 90660
  • Registration Deadline March 14, 2025, or until Full.
  • Light snacks will be provided prior to boat ride. Lunch is not provided.
  • If you tend to get motion sickness please provide your own motion sickness medications and take at least 30 minute prior to boat trip.
