Whale Watching 2025
During this Enhanced Whale Watching Cruise, onboard educators will lead students through several free learning experiences, such as bird and mammal monitoring, an onboard scavenger hunt, and a plankton tow with tons of marine mammal artifacts.

The Rio Hondo Nature Program is for Pico Rivera residents only and is aimed at the youth. 

Registered participants who do not attend will not be eligible for future trips for the Rio Hondo Nature Program and will be charged a no-show fee of $20.

  • Where: Davey Locker -Whale Watching
  • Time: 6:45am - 1pm
  • Ages: 5-17 (Adults must attend with a child ages 5-17)
  • Departure/Arrival Location: Pico Park, 9528 Beverly Blvd., Pico Rivera, CA 90660
  • Check-In: 6:30am-6:45am
  • Bus will depart promptly at 7am
  • Light snacks will be provided prior to boat ride. Lunch is not provided.
  • If you tend to get motion sickness please provide your own motion sickness medications and take at least 30 minute prior to boat trip.
  • The Rio Hondo Nature Program is for Pico Rivera residents only and is geared at the youth and their families.
